M-STEP: Mongolia Sustainable Transition and Economic Development Programme – Green Finance Initiative

This programme accelerates Mongolia’s green economy transition by mobilizing private investment funding in targeted investment for clean energy, green infrastructure, and sustainable SME development, aiming to create over 500 green jobs within three years. The initiative follows a three-phase approach: 1) Policy & Planning, Feasibility & 2) Technical Assistance, and Implementation & 3) Scale-Up. This ensures robust design, effective risk management, and measurable impact.

The project is implemented in partnership with Oy DME Solutions Ltd (Investment & Fund Management Coordinator), Friendship Science Hub (Local Project Development Coordinator), and Greenworks Consulting (International Project & Business Development Coordinator).

Together, these partners combine expertise in finance, technical assistance, and sustainable project delivery, aligning the programme with Mongolia’s national climate policies and global sustainability goals.
